Cheek - waited 20 minutes for a free table. When someone finally left and we sat down, the lady came 5 minutes later to send us out again, as she apparently could no longer serve us due to the high number of visitors.

Best Japanese food in Augsburg. Having stayed in Japan several times, I am happy to have found this restaurant for authentic Japanese food for years. I regularly get a BentoBox at lunchtime, which is always very tasty and has a great price / performance ratio. You should reserve in the evening. The dishes are varied and very tasty. Whether sushi or a hot noodle soup, everyone can find something there. The service is very courteous and friendly.

We only pass Augsburg for a short time and wanted to have lunch here. Found this little Japanese restaurant through Google. The menu wasn't huge, but everything we ordered tasted great. The owner is Japanese. So it tastes more authentic compared to the other Japanese restaurants I think. We definitely recommend it and will definitely visit again when we are in Augsburg again.

Nothing like it in Augsburg if you are looking for delicious and unique Japanese cuisine. The price-performance ratio is more than balanced for what you get. The restaurant is also worth a visit for non-sushi lovers because it offers many more alternatives and each of them is worth a visit. Overall, I would say incredibly good cuisine and very nice and courteous service. If you don't visit it, you're missing something

We really love going to Kurofune. However, a reservation is recommended at any time, as it is really always full :-) The food is delicious and the staff very friendly. I would wish there were more vegetarian options, and when the restaurant is full, the service is a bit overwhelmed and often doesn't come by. I think that has to work out a bit.

The Kurofune in Augsburg is a modern Japanese restaurant with high-quality sushi platters and various Japanese specialties - from soups and fried snacks to bento boxes. The dishes are all absolutely first class in terms of appearance (beautifully arranged arrangements of different snacks as shown in the attached photos, even the large udon soup looks great), size of the individual dishes and taste. The latter in particular stands out positively and sets the Korafune apart from equivalent sushi restaurants in Augsburg: Every dish ordered was a great taste experience. I had ordered Gyoza (these are soft dumplings filled with minced meat), Karaage (crispy fried dumplings filled with large pieces of meat), an udon soup (a very large soup made with algae, carrots and the thick, white udon noodles that give it its name) , a rice bag filled with meat and mayo and a large sushi platter (which lives up to its name as it was really generous in size). The Karaage in particular were a taste revelation and can be highly recommended to every visitor to this restaurant. The service was very friendly and always responded to the wishes of the guests. A big compliment for the first class service at this point. The dishes I ordered were brought in at an appropriate time, I never had to wait too long for a dish, but I always had enough time to enjoy the food that was brought before. The price-performance ratio is more than appropriate given the high quality of the food. The decor is also very nice. It is a very small and modern restaurant that is in a hygienic condition and looks good. Only the location on the big street in the industrial area of ​​the Antonviertel is a bit uncomfortable, but with falling darkness and appropriate lighting it still becomes really cozy. All in all, the Kurofune can be recommended for every lover of Japanese cuisine. Certainly it should belong to the absolute top of the Japanese restaurants in Augsburg. So far I haven't been able to eat better sushi in any other restaurant.

The Kurofune is my ABSOLUTE favorite restaurant in Augsburg and will always be. I just love Japanese food and Kurofune has authentic Japanese cuisine that always tastes good! Every bite is a taste explosion and you just want more! I recommend everyone to try the full menu! But actually you can't go wrong with any dish, because everything tastes good there! There are even additional dishes that you can pre-order! Just ask! The ambience is super nice and upscale and the service is always very courteous, competent and nice! Even our dog Apollo is always allowed to come along and always gets a bowl of water! You can always chat while you wait for your meal because it's never too loud! You should definitely make a reservation, because since it is so great here it is of course booked out quickly! <3

By far the best, most authentic Japanese cuisine in town. Really good sushi, melts in your mouth. The tempura is also unreal, super juicy and crispy but not too heavy at all. Highly recommended

Upon the many positive rating we wanted to give it a try as both of us LOVE sushi. I called on Saturday afternoon to make a reservation for the evening and the restaurant was already booked out. Then I asked if I could pick up the food myself and I’ve been told that it’s not possible as they have to many orders already...Ok accepted. Next day (Sunday) we went there without reservation as it’s normally a quiet day for the business. We were there one hour before closing and they run out of RICE! so no sushi anymore...Then we ask for a soup and we’ve been told that they also run out of noodles!!! Come on this gotta be a joke I thought. How possibly a sushi place can run out of the basic ingredients??? This is just to bad sorry...

High quality and authentic Japanese food!

Yesterday i was in a really lovely place to get my most favorite dish sashimi. The location is called kurofune in Augsburg. It started with a summer drink of iced green tea and a plate of different kinds of starters. Mmhhh 😋 then it follows a kind of baked tofu. And then....the drums in my head got louder...the sashimi. I love sashimi endlessly and I'm really no easy costumer about high quality of sashimi. But it was like butter on the tongue...so soft and light and really delicious. It can't be better. The next was a kind of filled and fried dumplings. And the dessert was macha ice cream.👌🥳the hole menue was a really incredible and I love the warm welcome and lovely service there. I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant in Augsburg. I will come back soon.

Very good Japanese food !! No 0815 food, but Japanese cuisine at its best. The restaurant also has a great ambience and is not too big so that you can have a good chat with your table partner. The owners and the service are very courteous, friendly and lovable. I've been able to spend wonderful hours here several times with delicious delicacies and will continue to visit it. It is only recommended and has to be tried out yourself!

Only authentic Japanese cuisine in Augsburg

The locality was a bit shabby and - as we were told - was apparently just overtaken by the previous owner (a cheap bistro). The food was okay however not the best you can get in Augsburg. The service was friendly, yet, extremely unprofessional. We didn't receive soy sauce for the sushi, the waitresses (German?!) could not explain the menu to us, the main courses came with a 30 minute difference, the serving was a bit clumsy, etc. Delivery service is a mess and in this way not feasible. This place has the potential to be very good, but if you want the best Japanese food so far, just go across the street to Manyo.

Very fresh and delicious food here in this very friendly family run restaurant.There is a area for kids to colour and draw and a fantastic music selection in a nice and calm restaurant.The waitress was above amazing and polite.Excellent value 10 euro Bento box for lunch with soup! I will be most certainly be back again and again 😊
